Return of the Convention (http://www.nadobra.com/conv/, 26th-27th March 2005 in Bristol, UK) will be attended by actor and stuntman Kiran Shah. All profits from the event will go to The Red Cross who are deeply involved in current relief efforts after the Asian Tsunami. Other guests are Jed Brophy, Alan Lee and John Howe.

Kiran will be available for autographs to all attendees and will be giving a presentation. We are also excited to be able to offer a stunt workshop with Kiran and Jed Brophy to a limited number of people.

All workshops will be fully participatory. Other events will include showings of Dominic Monaghan's 'An Insomniac's Nightmare' and the John Howe documentary 'There and Back Again'. See website for full schedule details.

Please pass this info on to anyone who may be interested.

I just got the LOTR trilogy. My best friend bought it for my birthday. My life is now ALMOST complete, now they have to make The Hobbit. A true friend will buy you LOTR stuff.

I just finished reading The Hobbit...again. I've read certain rumours on the web that suggest that Pete Jackson wasn't going to direct an adaptation of The Hobbit...mainly because it was too oriented toward children. Like hell! It's kinda cutesy at the beginning but it gets pretty dark and dismal by the end...it could be an amazing film prequel to Jackson's trilogy! Anyways, have I read wrong or are the other rumours true being that New Line Cinema has the rights to make the movie, but MGM has the rights to distribute it? Wait a minute, the last post was like...last December...something tells me that nobody is going to read this...

And YES...we are all geeks!

Normally, the General Forum on Nation States is a flame fest, but this is too goof not to share:

The show was great. There were 4 comics altogether and all were good. Dave and Lewis were def. the best though. I needed a good laugh.

I so have to see the movie again. The next week is such a busy week that I may not get to see it again until a few days after the holiday. =(

I loved the movie...and I'm not going through withdraw until it's time to wait on the Extended DVD and the movie is no longer in theaters.

However, I read an interview with PJ that said he would love to make The Hobbit if he is allowed. Can we say "Letter Writing Campagin" by Tolkein fans?
